AAAI Conferences and Symposia The AAAI artifical intelligence conference series aims to promote research in AI and foster scientific exchange between researchers, practitioners, scientists, students, and engineers across the entirety of AI and its affiliated disciplines. Many times a year, the members of AAAI convene to discuss and share research, recognize members who are thought leaders in the field, and discuss the future of AI. Much like AI itself, these conferences have developed over time, many of which have been born from the topics of most interest to our members and the AI field. AAAI’s Symposia allow researchers and attendees to exchange ideas and discuss their research in a smaller, more collaborative environment. AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence The AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence promotes theoretical and applied AI research as well as intellectual interchange among researchers and practitioners. The technical program features substantial, original research and practices. Conference panel discussions and invited presentations identify significant social, philosophical, and economic issues influencing AI’s development worldwide. More info AIES AAAI/ACM Conference on Artificial Intelligence, Ethics, and Society The AAAI/ACM Conference on AI, Ethics, and Society (AIES) is focused on the societal and ethical aspects of artificial intelligence. Attendees and presenters include lawyers, practitioners, and academics involved in computer science, philosophy, public policy, economics, human-computer interaction, and more. More info AIIDE Artificial Intelligence for Interactive Digital Entertainment AIIDE is intended to be the definitive point of interaction between entertainment software developers interested in AI and academic and industrial AI researchers. The conference is targeted at both the research and commercial communities, promoting AI research and practice in the context of interactive digital entertainment systems with an emphasis on commercial computer and video games. More info ICWSM International AAAI Conference on Web and Social Media The International Conference on Weblogs and Social Media is intended to bring together researchers in the broad field of social media analysis (including fields such as computer science, linguistics, psychology, statistics, sociology, multimedia and semantic web technologies) and foster discussions about ongoing research on weblogs and social media. We invite participation from academe and industry. More info IAAI Innovative Applications of Artificial Intelligence Innovative Applications of Artificial Intelligence Conferences (IAAI) consist of case studies of deployed applications with measurable benefits whose value depends on the use of AI technology. In addition, many IAAI conferences augment these case studies with papers and invited talks that address emerging areas of AI technology or applications. IAAI is organized as an independent program within the AAAI National Conference, with schedules coordinated to allow attendees to move freely between IAAI and AAAI Conference sessions. The conference was created by researchers from diverse fields to serve as a key focal point and scholarly venue for the review and presentation of the highest quality work on principles, studies, and applications of human computation. The meeting seeks and embraces work on human computation and crowdsourcing in multiple fields, including human-computer interaction, cognitive psychology, economics, information retrieval, databases, systems, optimization, and multiple subdisciplines of artificial intelligence, such as vision, speech, robotics, machine learning, and planning. More info AAAI Spring, Summer, and Fall Symposia Series AAAI’s Spring and Fall Symposium Series affords participants a smaller, more intimate setting where they can share ideas and learn from each other’s artificial intelligence (AI) research. Topics for the symposia change each year, and the limited seating capacity and relaxed atmosphere allow for a workshop-like interaction. The International Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining, sponsored by AAAI, brought together researchers and application developers from different areas focusing on unifying themes.
